The Mission
The Camp-aign for American Kids was created as a means of empowering young people to deal with the mounting pressures that have resulted in an increase in school violence, bullying, cruelty toward others, and sexual misconduct.
The Camp-aign is designed to help guide our nation’s youth into adulthood by infusing young minds — while they are yet "soft-wired" — with core human values such as kindness, compassion, honesty, integrity, faith, courage, teamwork, tolerance and moderation.
These and other such qualities are none other than the age-old realties of virtue, the ultimate human common denominator, on which people of every race, religion and culture can agree.
The technological advances of our age -- this age of virtual reality -- have been truly astonishing. But with these have come many unforeseen dangers, social and psychological challenges that can have a debilitating affect upon the minds, hearts and general well-being of innocent children.
The evidence for this is all around us. The solution is to conscientiously moderate the age of virtual reality with the realities of virtue. The only configuration in America with the capacity to do this for children -- by the tens-of-thousands simultaneously -- is our nation's network of FVPs.
